drives will not be auto detected by the kernel at boot time; you

in your parameters into <file:drivers/cdrom/cdu31a.c>. Try "man
bootparam" or see the documentation of your boot loader (lilo or
loadlin) about how to pass options to the kernel.

file system support" below, because that's the file system used on
